Devmint was founded in India in 2022 as a senior-only engineering studio building AI-native software. Today the team ships production AI agents, LLM applications, SaaS platforms and startup MVPs to clients across India, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Germany and Singapore.
We started Devmint because we kept watching good ideas get handed to junior teams, outsourced through three layers of project management, and shipped in a state nobody would defend in a code review. So we built the opposite: a small team of senior engineers who scope, build and operate the systems we sell.
We don't have a sales department. We don't have a junior bench. We don't outsource the engineering. The principal engineer who walks into your discovery call is the one who'll write production code on your project, demo it on Friday, and pick up the on-call pager when something breaks at 3 AM.
The studio is profitable, fully self-owned and explicitly designed to stay small. We accept a limited number of new engagements each quarter — enough to grow the team responsibly, never enough to dilute what makes our work good.
Five things we operate on, quietly.
Not a manifesto. Just the working principles we keep coming back to in code review and project review, written down so everyone reads from the same page.
Production from week one.
Real auth, real billing, real data flowing through the system from the first sprint. No 'big reveal' at the end of the project. The system is in front of users earlier than is comfortable.
Measure before optimizing.
Every AI system gets an eval harness before it gets a prompt. We don't ship 'feels better' — we ship 'tested better on N cases'.
Unit economics are a feature.
An AI feature that costs more per call than it earns is a liability. We track per-request cost from day one and design model routing and caching against a budget.
The boring parts are the product.
Auth, billing, RBAC, audit logs, observability, on-call. The parts of the system nobody asks for are the parts that decide whether the product survives its second year.
Stay small on purpose.
We grow slower than we could. The studio is sized so every engineer can speak about every project. Scale is what we ship — not what we are.
Operate, don't disappear.
Every engagement includes 90 days of post-launch operations with SLOs and on-call. About 85% of our clients renew into a long-term relationship after that window.
